Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Things I'm Thankful for

Created by The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s TTT is the Thanksgiving themed, so I chose to do the Top Ten Things I am Thankful for.

10. My husband.

9. My children

8. My dad, brother, and sister (and the rest of the family).

7. My animals.

6. My Job.

5. My friends.

4. My SUV

3. My house (even though I’m starting to hate it and can’t wait to move into something bigger, it’s better than having nothing.)

2. My phone. (I’d be lost without it)

1.  The internet (again, I’d be lost without it)

What are you thankful for?

Top Ten Books/Movies to Read or Watch to get into the Halloween Spirit

Created by The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s TTT is the Top Ten Books/Movies to Read or Watch to get into the Halloween Spirit. This is a fun one. I’ve decided to split it into the two categories. The first 5 will be movies and the last 5 will be books. Now keep in mind that I have a family with little kids so we watch some family friendly movies, usually when ABC Family does their “13 Nights of Halloween.”

10. The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This is my favorite Halloween/Christmas movie. It is great because it can be watched during either season.

9. Corpse Bride

Another movie by Tim Burton plus this one has Johnny Depp as the voice of the main character and he is my favorite actor.

8. Hocus Pocus

7. Edward Scissorhands

6. Ernest Scared Stupid

I haven’t actually watched this movie since I was little but if it was on I would totally be watching it. It’s so corny but I have good childhood memories from it.

5. The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco

4. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

3. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

2. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

1.  Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz

What books or movies are you watching or reading to get into the Halloween mood??

Top Ten "New" Series I Want to Start

Created by The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s TTT is the top ten new series I want to start. These are supposed to be books that have come out within the last year or two. I cheated a little though and included books where the last one (or most recent) has come out within that time frame. Also, all of these series/trilogies are complete on my shelf except for #1 (I still need book 3 & 4). It’s embarrassing how many complete series/trilogies I own and haven’t started. As with most of my top ten posts, this is in no particular order.

10. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo

9. EveTrilogy by Anna Carey

8. Unearthly Trilogy by Cynthia Hand

7. Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking

6. The Watersong Quartet by Amanda Hocking

5. Under the Never Sky Trilogy by Veronica Rossi

4. Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu

3. Delirium Trilogy by Lauren Oliver

2. Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth

1. Unwind Dystology Series by Neal Shusterman

Which ones do you want to start? Any of these I should get to sooner rather than later?
