This is where I show everything I that I bought, borrowed, or just added to my bookshelf over the past week. I throw together Showcase Sunday and Stacking the Shelves in one post. I also include a wrap-up of everything that was posted to the blog this past week.
Showcase
Sunday is hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits, and Tea. For more information

Stacking the
Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Team at Tynga’s Reviews. For more

{Bought}
I
sold about 30 books to Half Priced Books this week so I took some of that money
and bought a few more (because I have no self-control). To my defense though a
couple of those have been on my wish list for a while and both the Land of
Elyon books and Catching Jordan were only $1. I already own numbers 1 & 3
of the Land of Elyon books (which I also bought for $1 or less) so I figured I
should pick up those two while they were cheap.

Beyond the Valley of Thorns (The Land of Elyon #2) by
Patrick Carman
Stargazer (The Land of Elyon #4) by
Patrick Carman
Catching Jordan (Hundred Oaks #1) by Miranda Kenneally
There was also a
Groupon for Bookcloseouts.com which I just had to buy. $25 for a $50 voucher.
You better believe I was all over that. I believe the Groupon has already
finished or else I would have linked it here for everyone else.

{Borrowed}
I
am on my TBR Takedown for the rest of the year so I have been requesting the
review books that have already came out from my library. I had about 7 on hold
for me and 5 of those came in this week. So hopefully I can knock those off my
review list.
Weather Witch (Weather Witch #1) by
Shannon Delany
Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend (Confessions #2)
by
Louise Rozett
Parallel by Lauren Miller
The Next two I
have actually already read and the reviews will be up within the next couple
weeks.
Strangelets by Michelle Gagnon
Towering by Alex Flynn (I was already
half way through this on my Kindle when it came in from the library. It was
taking me awhile to read it but I flew through the rest of this in a couple
hours after I had the physical book.)

How
was your week? Let me know in the comments!
I absolutely loved Something Stranger and Deadly and Sweet Evil, so I hightly recommend those two!
ReplyDeleteDeadly Departed was also a very cool take on zombies and period heroines!
I think those books sounded like they would be good October reads so I'm saving them for then. I hope I like them as much as you did!
