She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.

But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.

Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

I have to take back something I have been saying for a while. Every time I read a young adult contemporary book I say that I usually say “I don’t like contemporary books but I like this one.” Well, I think I do like young adult contemporary books but I do not like adult contemporary. I think I relate or could relate more to a young adult novel because I’m closer to that age.

Anyway, on to the book, I really liked it. I would say that it definitely should be placed in the mature content section young adult books. I was a little surprised at how far it went with the sex. Nevertheless, I still really liked it. That’s coming from someone who used to read adult romantic suspense novels so sex scenes don’t really bother me.

I liked all the characters which did surprise me because there is usually one that I really don’t like. I did think Wesley was a pretty big asshole at first but he grew one me.

Overall I really enjoyed this book, so much in fact that I just ordered another one of her books. I think it’s really awesome that Kody wrote a great book at a pretty young age.
