Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never
far behind.
Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ring mistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.
The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.
In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.

Well as per my usual blog posts for a
sequel or later in the series book I will not be posting any details just in
case someone hasn’t read the first one.
I very much enjoyed this book. It
definitely took a couple turns I was not expecting. The ending was oh em gee..
Yea I just spelled that. I love it when books end this way.
This book definitely focuses a lot more
on Rhine and Gabriel. You find some interesting things out about Vaughn also.
I say if you read the first one and
liked it, or even if you weren’t sure about it, then you should at least read
this one. I can’t wait to read the finale!
My Rating:
I loved Wither! I didn't understand why it got so many bad reviews :/ I will definitely be picking this one up soon! Great review :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I agree I really like Wither and I don't know why it was getting bad reviews! I can't wait for the third book!
