With his bowl to himself, Goldfish loves his life...until one day...
A personal account from a goldfish on life in his bowl as other intruders crowd him.

This book was just as cute as I hoped it would be. The front cover really drew me in. I just really liked the entire story and it had my son laughing out loud. I definitely recommend picking this up.

The Bedtime Train by Joy Cowley
Illustrated by Jamison Odone
Hardcover
, 32 pages
Published October 1st 2008 by Front Street
Goodreads|Amazon

A bedtime book for dads to share. When it's hard to go to sleep, watch out for Brad (who looks a lot like Dad ), engineer of the Bedtime Train. He'll take you to places wild (filled with bears and wolves and alligators) and full of adventures. Will that bridge tumble? Will those dinosaurs bite? Not to worry. The Bedtime Train is invincible, especially with Brad at the throttle and you in command And when you get home, sleep awaits you in a warm bed.

This book was ok. The thing that really bugged me was some of the rhyming was off. Ie: again/train, here/bear, because/dinosaurs. I can sort of get again and train if I change my accent but that’s not the way I talk so I should have to do that.

The artwork in this book is pretty intricate. It was different from anything I have seen before. My son liked the book quiet well though.

My Rating:

*Both of these books were rented from the library.
